Tom Fay

Tom Fay is a seasoned library professional with extensive experience in leadership roles across multiple library districts. Currently serving as the Chief Librarian and Executive Director at The Seattle Public Library since July 2015, Tom previously held the position of Director of Library Programs and Services. Prior experience includes serving as Deputy Director and COO at the Las Vegas-Clark County Library District, where strategic priorities and operational assessments were pivotal in supporting a 1.5 million resident population. Tom also served as Executive Director at Henderson Libraries, overseeing strategic planning and operations for a district serving 275,000 residents. Early career roles include Assistant Director of Operations and Information Technology Manager at Henderson Libraries. Tom holds a Master's degree in Library and Information Science from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and a Bachelor's degree in Fine/Studio Arts from the University of Nevada-Las Vegas, alongside a graduate degree in Organizational Leadership from Leadership Henderson.
