Maurice Kelly begins his first season as vice president of player engagement. In his role, Kelly is responsible for providing club personnel, players and families with programs that foster personal and professional growth while serving as a conduit between players and management.
Kelly has been responsible for developing programs designed to assist players in making a smooth transition into and out of professional football in such areas as financial education, career internship programs, continuing education, community outreach initiatives, player insurance/benefit management and relocation. Kelly originally joined the Seahawks administrative team in 2005 as director of player development and was later promoted to senior director in 2012.
A former player, he played two seasons in the NFL, both with the Seahawks from 2000-01. Played in 24 games with three starts as a safety. Before joining the NFL, Kelly was a standout safety in the CFL as a three-time all-star (1997-99), including All-CFL in 1999.
Married to wife, Dionne. They have a son, Miles.
