Daniel Zapata has a diverse work experience spanning different industries. Daniel started their career as an intern at AXA Equitable in 2010, where they familiarized himself with retirement investment vehicles and provided life insurance quotes to clients. In 2011, they interned at Merrill Lynch, conducting investment research and enhancing advisors' practice management.
In 2013, Daniel joined Ardent Health Services as a Revenue Integrity Specialist and later became a Revenue Integrity Coordinator. In these roles, they developed data reconciliation processes, audited facility and payer contractual terms, quantified missing revenue, and resolved payment variances.
Since 2015, Daniel has been working at Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee. Daniel started as a Volunteer Engagement Coordinator, leading groups of volunteers in food sorting and assembly projects. Daniel provided training for food safety and motivated and supervised volunteers. Daniel later became the Lead Volunteer Engagement Coordinator, assisting the Manager of Volunteer Engagement in managing projects and coordinating special project production at the Martin Distribution Center. Currently, Daniel serves as the Volunteer Operations Manager.

Daniel Zapata attended Lafayette College from 2008 to 2012, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Business. In 2011, they also spent a year at Maastricht University, studying International Economics. Prior to their college education, Daniel attended Westlake High School. Additionally, they obtained a certification as a Certified Revenue Cycle Representative from the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) in October 2013.
