Amer Shah, CISSP, AWS-CCP, CCSK, has over 20 years of experience in the IT industry. In 1998, they began their career as a Bar Tender at Jillian's. In 2003, Shah became a Network Engineer at USinternetworking. In 2007, they worked as a Specialist Engineer WAN/LAN, Managed Hosting Solutions Operations at Verizon Business. In 2010, they were a Cyber Security Engineer 3 at SRA International. In 2011, Shah was a Firewall Admin Managed Firewall Services at HP Enterprise Services. In 2012, they became a Senior Security Engineer at Knowledge Consulting Group. In 2015, Shah was Manager/ Senior Team Leader for US Courts IT Security Assessment Team at ManTech International Corporation. In 2018, they were a Senior Consultant – Federal Cyber Risk Advisory, Cyber Risk Assessments and Principal Compliance Advisory at Coalfire. Currently, Shah is Director Of Compliance at SecureIT, where they facilitate FedRAMP advisory engagements and 3PAO assessments. Amer provides comprehensive guidance to cloud providers that are preparing for FedRAMP certification and works with clients to produce FedRAMP-compliant System Security Plans and all required attachments.

Amer Shah holds a Bachelor's Degree in Cyber Security from the University of Maryland Global Campus, obtained in 2020. Amer also attended the University of Houston from 1988 to 1992, studying Hotel, Motel, and Restaurant Management. Shah holds a number of certifications, including Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP) from LinkedIn (obtained in 2022), AWS Administration: Security Fundamentals and AWS: Monitoring and Reporting from LinkedIn (both obtained in 2021), CCP from Amazon Web Services (AWS) (obtained in 2021), CCFSP from HITRUST (obtained in 2020), CEH from EC-Council, CISSP from (ISC)², and Security+ from CompTIA.
