Pete Berlute

Pete is a member of our executive leadership team and leads all areas of our technology strategy and operations, including infrastructure, application development, data and analytics, digital, cybersecurity and vendor governance.

Experience

Pete joined Securian Financial as a director in 2006, and has held various finance, business and technology leadership and operations roles within our company. He has also led several of our key enterprise strategic initiatives including implementing a new channel partner compensation platform, advancing our technology transformation and introducing new hybrid ways of working. Pete was promoted to second vice president in 2012, vice president in 2017 and to senior vice president and his current role in 2022. Before joining Securian Financial, he worked as a CPA for Ernst & Young in Chicago and Minneapolis.
