Derek Tascarella

Derek Tascarella's work experience begins in 2009 at The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company where they worked as a Production Team Member. Derek'sresponsibilities included ensuring the functionality of production equipment, making adjustments to machinery for quality control, and following Standard Operating Procedures and job safety protocols. In 2019, they joined SecurIT360 as an Information Security Analyst. In this role, Derek worked on cyber threat intelligence analysis, network traffic analysis, and incident response efforts. Derek was later promoted to the position of Information Security Analyst Team Lead, where they oversaw incident identification, assessment, and mitigation as well as collaborated with other cybersecurity teams and business units.

Derek Tascarella's education history begins with their high school education at Berrien High School, where they obtained their High School Diploma from 2003 to 2007. Derek furthered their education by attending Gadsden State Community College from 2017 to 2019, where they earned an Associate of Arts and Sciences degree in Network and System Administration/Administrator. Additionally, in 2018, Derek completed a course at the Cisco Networking Academy in System, Networking, and LAN/WAN Management/Manager.

In terms of certifications, Derek holds multiple qualifications. Derek obtained the CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP+) ce Certification in January 2023. Other certifications include CompTIA Linux+ (May 2021), CompTIA Security+ (October 2020), CompTIA Cybersecurity Analyst (CySA+) (July 2020), Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) (February 2020), and Cisco Certified Entry Networking Technician (CCENT) (October 2019). Derek also holds certifications from VMware Carbon Black, TestOut Corporation, and CompTIA in various fields of expertise, such as CB Defense Associate Analyst, Linux Pro, Server Pro 2016 (Identity, Networking, Install and Storage), PC Pro, Security Pro, and Network Pro.
