Philip Wahl

Philip Wahl has extensive experience in the banking industry. Philip began their career as a Branch Manager at Nationwide Lending Group, Inc. in 1986 and later became a VP Retail Private and Business Banking Manager at Wachovia Corp in 1989. Philip then joined Bank of America in 2001, where they served as SVP Middle Market Banking and Augusta-Aiken Market President. In 2006, they moved to Wachovia Corp as SVP Community Banking. Philip then joined First Citizens Bancorporation in 2008 as SVP/Augusta City President. Philip later became the Augusta Market President at First Community Bank of South Carolina in 2012. Philip worked as a Business Consultant while self-employed in 2016, before joining Security Federal Bank as SVP/Augusta Area Executive. Philip currently serves as the President of Security Federal Bank since August 2019. Throughout their career, Philip has been responsible for managing commercial and consumer client relationships and contributing to the growth and development of the banks they worked for.

From 1982 to 1987, Philip Wahl attended Augusta University, where they obtained a BBA in Management/Finance. Additionally, they have a certification in Regional Economic & Leadership Development, obtained from the Georgia Academy for Economic Development.
