Charlie Oliver

Charlie Oliver has over 15 years of work experience in software engineering and management roles. Charlie is currently working as a Senior Software Engineering Manager at Security Journey since August 2022. Prior to that, they held the same position at Zumper from May 2021 to April 2022. At Zumper, Charlie led the landlord and agent segment team, launching a new line of revenue and improving developer experience and scalability.

Before Zumper, Charlie worked as a Software Engineering Manager at LexisNexis from April 2018 to May 2021. Charlie managed a remote team of engineers and led initiatives to improve customer satisfaction. Prior to that, they held the role of Senior Software Engineer at LexisNexis from May 2014 to April 2018. Charlie was responsible for building an enterprise software solution and reporting metrics to the development team and upper-level management.

Charlie also has experience as a Consultant at Orchid Event Solutions and Robert Half Technology. At Orchid Event Solutions, they utilized their event management experience and trained software engineers. At Robert Half Technology, they assisted in the migration to SAP Business One and provided training and documentation.

Earlier in their career, Charlie worked as the Director of Platform Development at Channel One News, where they oversaw the development of an educational product. Charlie also worked as a Software Developer and Lead at Orchid Event Solutions, where they developed registration and housing solutions for conference and convention coordinators.

Charlie started their career as a Software Developer at Affiliated Computer Services and interned as a Project Manager/Product Owner at Novell. Throughout their career, Charlie has demonstrated strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and a focus on improving user experience and scalability.

Charlie Oliver completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Neumont College of Computer Science from 2004 to 2006. Additionally, Charlie obtained the certification of Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals from Microsoft in February 2021 and Certified ScrumMaster from the Scrum Alliance in March 2017.
