Steve Van Barneveld

Steve re-joined Sedgman in 2016 having worked for the company previously from 1987 to 2010. Steve is responsible for leading the business in Australia West.

Steve has more than 35 years of experience across the resources and infrastructure sectors internationally. His experience at Sedgman includes roles as General Manager, Strategy and Growth; Chief Operating Officer; and Principal Engineer. From 2013 to 2016 he worked as a consultant for Sedgman and focused on the development of key projects to build our reputation and experience in the Americas and Southern Africa. Between 2006 until 2010 Steve was responsible for the successful delivery of studies, engineering, projects, and operations in Australia and the diversification of services into Africa, Mongolia, and South America.

Steve holds a Bachelor of Minerals Technology (University of Otago) and is a Non-Executive Director of Jameson Resources Limited (ASX:JAL).
