Richard Riggs

Richard Riggs holds extensive experience in the field of communications and election management. Currently serving as Deputy Election Commissioner for Sedgwick County Government since May 2005, Richard oversees operations related to voter registration and advanced voting. Previous roles include Print Shop Senior Specialist and Mail Center Lead, where responsibilities encompassed managing a mailroom and advising clients on mailing solutions. Richard’s background also includes experience as a Loaned Executive for the United Way of the Plains, where management of fundraising accounts was key, and positions in broadcast operations at KWCH-TV and KAKE. Riggs began a career in media as an On-Air Announcer and Office Assistant at KMUW 89.1, and holds a BA in Communication - Electronic Media from Wichita State University.
