David Duda, Ph.D. has had a diverse range of work experiences in the field of structural biology and protein design. David is currently serving as the Director of the Induced Proximity Platform at Siduma Therapeutics, a role they started in June 2023. Prior to this, they worked as the Director at Seed Therapeutics from February 2023.

From May 2019 to February 2023, David worked as a Senior Scientist at The Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson & Johnson. In this role, they provided structural biology support and leadership for various therapeutic areas. David also contributed their expertise in Targeted Protein Degradation and managed collaborations with Contract Research Organizations (CROs) to enhance capabilities.

Before joining Janssen, David served as the Protein Structure Team Lead at Bayer Crop Science from August 2018 to May 2019. David directed the strategy of the Protein Structure Team, ensuring the team's success in providing impactful structural information for product development. David also initiated the integration of Cryo Electron Microscopy (CryoEM) technology into their structural biology pipeline.

Prior to Bayer, David held similar Protein Structure Team Lead positions at Monsanto Company from December 2016 to August 2018 and from December 2015 to December 2016. In these roles, they developed the team's strategy and facilitated training and development for team members. David also sought out and integrated new technologies in structural biology and protein design.

David'searlier work experience includes serving as a Research Specialist at Howard Hughes Medical Institute/St. Jude Children's Research Hospital from September 2012 to November 2015. David also worked at the same institute as a Research Specialist II from 2010 to 2012, a Research Specialist I from July 2007 to August 2010, and as a Postdoctoral Trainee from May 2003 to June 2007.

David's career began as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Florida, where they worked from August 1999 to May 2003.

David Duda, Ph.D. obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with Great Distinction from Clarkson University. David attended Clarkson University from 1995 to 1998. Following this, they enrolled at the University of Florida College of Medicine, where they pursued their Ph.D. in Biochemistry / Molecular Biology. David completed their doctoral studies from 1999 to 2003.
