Alexis Gonzales-Black

Alexis Gonzales-Black is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in organizational design and development. Currently a Partner and Org Design Practice Lead at August Public since October 2018, Alexis focuses on helping organizations build agile and inclusive teams. Additional roles include serving on the Advisory Board for ATD Org Dev Conference and the Equity & Inclusion Advisory Board for Seed&Spark. Previous experience includes positions as Principal Designer and Design Lead at IDEO, where solutions were developed for the Gates Foundation, and Org Design Lead at Zappos, spearheading a transition to Holacracy. Alexis also contributed to educational reform as an elected board member of the Nevada State Board of Education and has a background in recruitment with Teach For America. Academically, Alexis holds a B.S. in Biology from James Madison University.
