Kyle Wilson

Kyle Wilson, PhD is an experienced researcher and consultant in the field of human factors and cognitive psychology. Kyle has worked as a Senior Scientist and Team Lead at Seeing Machines, where they have focused on real-time detection of driver's mental workload, drowsiness, and distraction using eye-tracking technology. Kyle has also worked as a Principal Human Factors Consultant at HFEx Limited, conducting research and providing consulting services in various industries, including automotive and rail transport. Kyle has a strong background in academia, having served as a Lecturer in Cognitive Psychology at the University of Huddersfield, where they taught and conducted research in collaboration with researchers from different disciplines. Kyle has also held research positions at the University of Canterbury, where they conducted statistical analysis and research in science outreach programs. Additionally, Kyle has entrepreneurial experience as a co-founder and UX lead at SelfieBot™. Kyle Wilson, PhD, obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Cognitive Psychology from the University of Canterbury in 2015. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Science (Hons.) in Psychology at the University of Canterbury in 2011. Kyle also holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Psychology from the University of Canterbury, which they earned between 2008 and 2010. Kyle's education journey began at St Bede's College in Christchurch, NZ, where they completed their early schooling from 2003 to 2007.
