Alexey Stukalov

Principal Bioinformatics Scientist at Seer

Alexey Stukalov has a diverse work experience in the field of bioinformatics and research. Alexey currently works as a Staff Bioinformatics Scientist at Seer since February 2022. Prior to this, Alexey worked as a Senior Postdoctoral Fellow at Technical University Munich from January 2018 to February 2022. During this time, they supervised the bioinformatics research of the Laboratory of Immunopathology of Virus Infections and played a significant role in analyzing data for studies on Zika and SARS-CoV-2, which were published in Nature. From January 2015 to December 2017, they worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Max Planck Institute for Biochemistry. Alexey'searlier experience includes working as a Postdoctoral Researcher at CeMM from October 2009 to July 2014.

Alexey Stukalov completed their education at Lomonosov Moscow State University (MSU). From 1998 to 2003, they obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Computational and Applied Mathematics. Subsequently, from 2003 to 2006, they pursued a higher degree at the same institution and earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Computational and Applied Mathematics.
