John Bierly

John Bierly has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. John is currently the President of SEES Group, a position they have held since March 2020. Prior to this, they served as the Chief Medical Officer, Board Member, and Vice President at SEES Group from February 2017 to February 2020. In 2007, they became a Board Member at SCENIC LAND COMPANY, LLC. John Bierly is also a Founding Partner at SouthEast Eye Specialists since 1999. John started their career in academia, serving as an Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine from 1992 to 1999. John also completed a Postdoctoral Fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco - School of Medicine from 1990 to 1992. Before that, they worked as a Resident Doctor at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary of Mount Sinai from 1987 to 1990. John Bierly began their career as an Intern at Columbia University in the City of New York from 1986 to 1987.

John Bierly obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Natural Sciences from The Johns Hopkins University in the years 1978 to 1981. John then went on to pursue a Doctor of Medicine degree from the Joan & Sanford I. Weill Medical College of Cornell University between 1982 and 1986. Recently, from 2020 to 2022, they completed an Executive MBA program in Business Administration and Management from Emory University - Goizueta Business School.
