Melissa Russell

Melissa Russell currently serves as the Communications Manager at SEGD, overseeing communications and graphics for events, marketing, and membership campaigns. In addition, Melissa volunteers as a Response Information Analyst for the American Red Cross, assisting in data tracking for international crises. Previous roles include Environmental Justice Advocate at the Friends Committee on National Legislation, where Melissa led an intergenerational team to advocate for the Environmental Justice for All Act, and Community Organizing Fellow at TOLAcademy, focused on voter participation efforts during the 2020 general election. Melissa holds a Master's Degree in Architecture from Yale University and a Bachelor's Degree in Broadcast Journalism and Cinema Studies from New York University.
