Vonya Alleyne

Vonya Alleyne, SPHR, SHRM-SCP, is currently serving as the Chief People Officer at Segra since October 2021. Prior to their current position, they held various roles at Cox Communications from 2007 to 2021, including Vice President, People Solutions and Market Vice President & Vice President, Human Resources. Before joining Cox Communications, they worked as a Human Resources Director at EMCOR Facilities Services from 2006 to 2007. Vonya also has experience as a Senior Human Resources Manager at Nextel from 2001 to 2006, Director of Human Resources/Administration at BET Interactive from 1999 to 2001, Human Resources Manager at Black Entertainment Television from 1998 to 1999, and Human Resources Leader at Pizza Hut, Inc. from 1993 to 1998.

Vonya Alleyne, SPHR, SHRM-SCP, holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) degree in Marketing from James Madison University, which they completed from 1989 to 1993. In 2005, they obtained a Master's degree in Organizational Management from the University of Phoenix, where they studied from 2002 to 2005. Additionally, they completed the NAMIC Executive Leadership Development Program (ELDP) - Class XVI at the University of Virginia Darden School of Business from 2016 to 2017. Currently, they are attending the Betsy Magness Leadership Institute- Class 42 for Executive Leadership, which they started in 2020 and is expected to finish in 2021. In terms of certifications, Vonya Alleyne has achieved the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification from the HR Certification Institute - HRCI, as well as the SHRM - Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) certification from SHRM.
