Ram Villivalam

Ram Villivalam serves as a State Senator for the State of Illinois since January 2019 and as a Legislative Coordinator for SEIU Healthcare since February 2015, where efforts focus on improving standards for workers and promoting access to affordable healthcare. Previous roles include Director of Outreach for the U.S. House of Representatives, where outreach was conducted to over 300 organizations, and Political Director for Brad Schneider for Congress, strengthening relationships with local elected officials and labor organizations. Villivalam also held positions as Deputy Campaign Manager and Field Director during political campaigns, successfully executing voter outreach initiatives. Villivalam holds a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science and Government from The George Washington University, completed in 2009.
