Colin Murphy

Colin Murphy is a Staff Software Engineer at Self Financial, Inc. since February 2018, where significant contributions include the implementation and maintenance of an ISO 8583 message handling pipeline that processes millions of financial transactions in real-time, as well as the development of a fixed-width file parser/generator framework using Pydantic dataclasses. Prior to this role, Colin worked at Conduent from April 2015 to February 2018, where responsibilities included enhancing a Java-based disease surveillance system, creating a RESTful API with JWT authentication, and optimizing build processes. Earlier experience at Mitratech involved developing features for a Java-based legal matter management software and creating an Atlassian JIRA plugin. Colin holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, earned in 2012.
