Emil Kauppi

Emil Kauppi has a diverse work experience, starting with their current position as a Customer Data Scientist at Sellforte. Prior to this, they worked at UPM - The Biofore Company as a Thesis Worker, where they focused on improving data quality monitoring and sales profitability forecast errors. Emil also conducted research on determining electricity production output on pulp mills.

Emil has also held various roles at UPM Energy, including Data Scientist Trainee, where they worked on pricing options and non-standard products, implemented decision-making support tools for traders, and analyzed the Nordic electricity market using ML/AI methods.

Emil has also worked at Neste as a Summer Trainee in Supply Chain Development, where they developed a predictive truck pickup dashboard and refinery optimization models.

In addition, Emil has experience as a Physics Teacher at Thorax Ab and Teknologföreningen, where they updated course material, conducted lectures, and provided problem-solving sessions for individuals applying to medical and engineering studies.

Emil has also worked as a Teaching Assistant at Aalto University, assisting with course execution and grading. Emil gained customer service and sales experience as a Salesperson at Viking Line.

Emil Kauppi's education history begins in 2013 when they attended Borgå Gymnasium and obtained a Marticulation Examination. Afterwards, they pursued their Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and Systems Analysis from Aalto University, completing it in 2020. In 2019, Emil participated in an exchange term at Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD), with a focus on Information Systems Technology and Design. Continuing their studies at Aalto University, Emil started a Master of Science program in both Economics and Computer Science in 2021, expected to conclude in 2024.
