Fred Floyd Jr has held various engineering positions since 2008. Fred began their career as an Intern (Naval Research Enterprise Intern Program) at the Office of Naval Research in 2008. Fred then worked as a Research Engineer at the Massachusetts General Hospital from 2009 to 2012. From 2012 to 2017, they worked at Daktari Diagnostics as a Project Engineer and then as a Mechanical Engineer II. Since 2017, they have been employed at Selux Diagnostics, Inc as a Principal Engineer, Lead Engineer, and Senior Engineer. As Lead Engineer, they are helping Selux Diagnostics, Inc develop a Next Generation Phenotyping (NGP) platform that promises to transform infectious disease treatment.
Fred Floyd Jr. attended Villanova University, College of Engineering from 2005 to 2009, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. Fred also completed a Study Abroad program at Griffith University.
