Mikaela Metzendorf has a wide range of work experience. Mikaela began their career in 2011 as an Adaptive Aquatics Swim Instructor for the Fairfax County Park Authority. In 2012, they became an Assistant Coach for the Northern Virginia Swim League. In 2015, they worked as a Cashier for Panera Bread, a Team Member for Which Wich Superior Sandwiches, and a Waitress for Club Corp. In 2016, they worked as a Quality Engineer Co-op for ConforMIS, Inc., a Process Improvement Analyst Co-op for Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, and a Digital University Solutions and Experience Contractor, Lead Customer Experience Technician, and Senior Capstone for Mechanical Engineering program at Northeastern University. In 2018, they worked as a Lab Technician Co-op for Lung Biotechnology. Finally, in 2020, they began working for Selux Diagnostics, Inc. as a Senior Research and Development Engineer, Research and Development Engineer II, Research and Development Engineer, and Test Engineer.
Mikaela Metzendorf began their educational journey at Oakton High School from 2010 to 2014. Mikaela then went on to pursue a Bachelor's degree in Engineering from Swinburne University of Technology in 2014. Following that, they continued their studies at Northeastern University, obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering in 2019 and a Master of Science in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering in 2020. Additionally, they have obtained a certification in WSI.
