Michelle Barbagallo has worked in a variety of roles since 2009. Michelle began their career as a Sales Associate and Workshop Instructor at Bead Box Inc. in 2009. In 2013, they were a Research Assistant at Medimabs, followed by an Internship at Vertex Pharmaceuticals in 2014. In the same year, they also worked as an Inside Sales Representative for Agilent Technologies. From 2016 to 2018, they were an MSc Student and Intern at Institut de recherche en immunologie et en cancérologie (IRIC). Michelle then worked as an Associate Research Scientist at Amplia PharmaTek from 2018 to 2019, followed by a Research Scientist role at Monogenic Pharmaceuticals from 2019 to 2021. In 2016, they also created the Montreal-based food blog, The Beader Chef, where they have since grown the site to 18,000 monthly page views and is in the early stages of monetization. Her related work experience includes Google Analytics, SEO, Wordpress, recipe development, recipe testing, food photography, photo editing, and social media (Pinterest, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.).
Michelle Barbagallo has an extensive educational background. Michelle began their studies in 2005 at St. Thomas High School, where they completed their International Baccalaureate Diploma and High School Diploma in 2010. Michelle then moved on to CEGEP - John Abbott College, where they earned their DEC in Science in 2012. Following that, they attended Concordia University and obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Honours Biochemistry Coop in 2016. Finally, they completed a Master of Science (MSc) in Pharmacology at Université de Montréal in 2018.
