Ross Mead

Ross Mead is an accomplished entrepreneur and leader in the fields of artificial intelligence and robotics. As the Founder and CEO of Semio, Mead is at the forefront of developing a software ecosystem for personal robots in Los Angeles. In addition to leading Semio, Mead serves as Vice President of AI LA, a community dedicated to exploring the implications of AI and machine learning. Mead's commitment to education in robotics is reflected in the role as Secretary on the Board of Directors for the KISS Institute for Practical Robotics. Mead also provides advisory support to Facepunk, a startup focused on facial data processing, and co-founded Bobble Sports, which leverages AI to capture and analyze fan reactions in real-time. Mead holds both a PhD and an MS in Computer Science from the University of Southern California, along with a BS in Computer Science from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville.
