Sam Green

Co-founder and Head of Research at Semiotic AI

Sam Green has held a variety of roles in the technology industry since 2006. Sam started their career as a Software Engineer at Acxiom in 2006, then went on to work as a Firmware Engineer at ARMA Design in 2009. In 2007, they were a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Central Arkansas, where they completed their M.S. thesis on FPGA coprocessing for computational mathematics. Sam then worked as a Software Engineer at Ball Aerospace in 2008. In 2010, they joined Sandia National Laboratories as a Cryptographic Engineer (Member of Technical Staff), and was later promoted to a Cryptographic Engineer (Senior Member of Technical Staff). From 2015-2018, they were a Graduate Research Assistant at UC Santa Barbara, advised by Prof. Çetin Kaya Koç. In 2020, they became the Co-founder and Head of Research at Semiotic Labs, which is focused on web3 optimization by leveraging cryptographic engineering, AI/ML, and DevOps expertise. In 2021, they joined Activate as an Entrepreneurial Research Fellow at Cyclotron Road.

Sam Green completed their Doctor of Philosophy in Computer Science from UC Santa Barbara in 2019. Prior to that, they earned their Master's degree in Applied Mathematics from the University of Central Arkansas in 2009.
