Helmut Sorger

Helmut Sorger has extensive work experience in finance and financial management. Helmut is currently employed as the Chief Financial Officer at SEMPERIT AG since October 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Wienerberger AG from 2013 to 2022, where they held various roles such as CFO North America and Head of Corporate Reporting. Helmut also worked as the Director of Finance and IT at General Shale from 2010 to 2013. Before that, they held positions at Wienerberger AG as Head of Financial Reporting and Corporate Controlling from 2007 to 2010. Helmut started their career as a Research and Teaching Assistant at WU (Vienna University of Economics and Business) from 2003 to 2007.

Helmut Sorger completed their primary education at Stiftsgymnasium St. Paul im Lavanttal from 1988 to 1996. Helmut then pursued a Master's degree in Accounting and Finance at WU (Vienna University of Economics and Business) from 1996 to 2001. Following that, they went on to obtain a Dr. rer. soc. oec. degree in Finance and Risk Management from the same university between 2002 and 2006.
