Jose Hernandez

Jose Hernandez is a seasoned tax professional with extensive experience in tax management and compliance. Currently serving as a Tax Manager at Sempra Energy since July 2009, Jose oversees the tax provision process and manages the preparation and analysis of consolidated tax provisions while providing support to Business Unit managers. Previous roles include Tax Manager at BDO USA, LLP, and Senior Tax Advisor at Sempra Energy, where Jose was responsible for training staff, reviewing tax returns, and implementing tax accounting software. Jose began a career in tax compliance as a Tax Compliance Specialist at Ernst & Young. Jose holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from San Diego State University.
