Alexander Buyanov

Alexander Buyanov has a diverse work experience in the field of software testing and quality assurance. Alexander started their career in 2010 as a Senior Software Test Engineer at Citibank Russia, where they worked on various projects related to online banking, ATMs, customer notification services, and banking mainframes. Alexander then joined Raiffeisen Bank Russia in 2014, initially as a Test Automation Engineer, writing tests for REST API and web-GUI, and later as a Senior System Analyst and Senior Software Test Engineer, working on a Standing Order platform project. In 2018, Alexander worked as a Test Automation Engineer at Consumer Reports before moving to Medecision in 2019 as a Test Automation Specialist. At Medecision, they developed a CI pipeline for regression testing legacy systems. In 2020, Alexander joined Otkritie as a Test Automation Specialist, where they automated test cases for a banking app and refactored the test framework. Most recently, they joined Semrush in 2023 as a QA Engineer.

Alexander Buyanov completed their higher education in Economics at the Moscow Institute of Economics, Management, and Law from 2007 to 2010. Prior to that, they pursued incomplete higher education in Electrical, Electronics, and Communications Engineering at the Ryazan State Radiotechnical University (former Academy) from 2003 to 2007. Additionally, they have obtained various certifications in fields such as software development, machine learning, data analysis, data science methodology, data visualization, databases and SQL, and Python for data science and AI. These certifications were earned from institutions such as Microsoft and Coursera, with the most recent certification obtained in 2022.
