Joanne Nugent-Ward has a diverse work experience that spans over several years. Joanne is currently a Lay Minister at Emmanuel Congregational Church UCC. Prior to this, they worked as the Director of Client Relations and Co-Owner of Seniors Helping Seniors, a non-medical, in-home service organization. Joanne has also served as a Supply Preacher for the Black River-St. Lawrence Association of the United Church of Christ and held the position of Church and Ministries Committee Chair at the same organization. Additionally, they have experience as an Owner and Pet care provider at Jojo's Purrs-n-Paws Pet Service. Joanne has contributed to the community through their roles as a Past Board Member at the Northern Regional Center for Independent Living and the Thousand Island Girl Scout Council. Before their current roles, Joanne worked as a Substance abuse counselor at Credo Community Center for the Treatment of Addictions.
Joanne Nugent-Ward obtained their Masters in Education with a focus on Secondary History from St. Bonaventure University. Joanne attended the university from 1988 to 1995.
