Director For Product Cost Optimization at Sensata

Melissa Shaltis has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Starting in 1998, they worked as an intern at Ford Motor Company before moving on to Medtronic as a Design Engineering Intern in 1999. In 2002, they joined Texas Instruments as a Mechanical Design Engineer.

In 2007, Melissa joined Sensata Technologies, where they held various leadership roles. Melissa served as the Manager of Quality from 2007 to 2011, overseeing quality management processes. Melissa then became the Manager of PMT Program and Operations, responsible for product ownership, P&L management, and leading program and project teams within the Product Family.

Melissa also served as the Director, Lead PMO for Divestiture, managing an extended team of professionals during a highly accelerated divestiture project.

Melissa Shaltis earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in 2000. Following that, they pursued a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Mechanical Engineering at MIT from 2000 to 2002. Prior to attending MIT, Melissa attended Friends Academy until 1996. In 2017, they also obtained a certification in Micromasters Supply Chain Management from MITx on edX.
