Christian Boullon

An outdoor enthusiast from Venezuela who enjoys surfing and camping and speaks three languages, Christian Boullon is an experienced people and operations professional with over 14 years of implementing systems and processes for innovative, international growth companies. Christian joined Sensei in 2019 as Director of People Operations and now joins Sensei Ag as Chief People Officer.

Christian began his career as Assistant General Manager for Grupo Clarín, the largest media company in Argentina, where he oversaw the installation of cable fiber networks in the cities of Quilmes and Buenos Aires. Returning to the U.S., he worked as a Project Manager for McCormack Baron and Salazar, a real estate development firm with over $4 billion invested in affordable and mixed-income housing. Entering the world of design, Christian was an Operations Lead at IDEO, a global design and innovation firm aimed at creating positive impact through design. At IDEO, Christian implemented new systems to increase organizational efficiency. He also assisted in the setup of the company’s Hong Kong, Tokyo and Singapore offices. Christian then joined West, a venture studio specializing in designing, building and launching purpose-driven companies. As Operations Lead for West, Christian supported the company’s finance, human resources, IT and general operations teams.

Leaning into his passion for mission-driven companies and making a difference in society, Christian became Head of Operations and Culture for Swell Investing LLC, an impact investing fund that follows the guidelines of the UN High-level Political Forum on Sustainable Development. A newly formed company at the time of his arrival, Christian built Swell’s compensation structure, employment handbook and organizational policies from the ground up. He also developed many company rituals to drive his diverse team’s unity, which resulted in 100% employee retention the following year.

Christian has focused his first year at Sensei on developing the foundation of People Operations for both Sensei Retreats and Sensei Farms. With Sensei Farms becoming its own entity, Christian will focus on creating a world-class culture brand that will help attract and retain the right talent for Sensei Ag.When Christian is not leading the next inspiring team building event for Sensei, you will likely find him curating his personal vinyl collection. Christian earned his BS in Food and Resource Economics with a minor in Portuguese from the University of Florida.
