Elisabeth Preiss has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. Elisabeth started their career in 2008 with a internship at AFRISO-EURO-INDEX GmbH. Elisabeth then worked as a research intern at Auburn University in 2011, where they focused on the production and characterization of organic semiconductors and inorganic nanoclusters. Elisabeth continued their research work as a scientific assistant at Saarland University from 2009 to 2010. Elisabeth then joined Universität des Saarlandes in 2012 as a scientific assistant, where they worked until 2013. During this time, they also pursued their PhD at Robert Bosch GmbH from 2013 to 2016. Currently, Elisabeth works at Sensirion as a Junior R&D Engineer, a position they assumed in 2017. In 2019, they were promoted to the role of R&D Engineer.
Elisabeth Preiss attended Universität des Saarlandes from 2007 to 2013, where they obtained a degree in Diplom-Ingenieurin (Dipl.Ing.) in the field of Mikro- und Nanostrukturen. In addition, they studied at Polytechnique Montréal from 2010 to 2011, focusing on Genie Physique.
