Simone De Liberato

Simone De Liberato has extensive work experience in various roles and organizations. Starting in 2010, they co-founded and served as a board member for AdQuantic until 2014. In 2008, they founded and worked as the Chief Science Officer for Hypios until 2010. From 2009 to 2010, they were a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Tokyo. Following this, from 2011 to 2012, they held a postdoctoral researcher position at Université Denis Diderot (Paris VII).

In 2018, Simone founded Quantika and was actively involved until 2020. Simone also became an angel investor at m19 from 2018 to 2022.

Simone has been associated with the University of Southampton since 2012. Simone started as a Lecturer until 2014, then became an Associate Professor until 2019, and is currently a Professorial Fellow.

Simone has also been a University Research Fellow at The Royal Society since 2013, and their role there will continue until December 2022.

Lastly, Simone is the founder and board member of Metis since 2022, and they are also the founder and CTO of SensoriumTL, beginning in June 2022.

Simone De Liberato completed a PhD in Physics at Université Paris Cité from 2006 to 2009. Prior to that, from 2003 to 2006, they obtained a Licence-Maîtrise-DEA degree in Physics from Ecole normale supérieure. Their education journey began at Politecnico di Milano from 2000 to 2003, where they pursued studies in Electronic Engineering.
