Cory Root

Cory Root has a work experience spanning over several years. They started their career as a Graduate Student Researcher at UC Irvine in September 2012 and worked until March 2014. They then joined Johnson Controls in February 2014 as a Data Scientist, where they were responsible for project management, programming method instruction, and played a pivotal role in establishing the global data intelligence group. In July 2017, Cory took on additional responsibilities as a Data Science Manager, Product Manager, and Project Development. In November 2019, Cory joined Sensormatic as the Director of Machine Learning, where they are currently employed.

Cory Root obtained an Associate of Arts (A.A.) degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences/Liberal Studies from Cypress College, attending from 2005 to 2008. Later, from 2009 to 2012, Cory pursued a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science at UC Irvine. Continuing their education, Cory went on to earn a Master's degree in Computer Science from UC Irvine, completing it from 2012 to 2014.
