Kenny Nguyen has worked in various research and medical roles since 2016. In 2016, they worked as a Group Leader for GPI US, Inc., where they challenged and encouraged Japanese high school students to improve their English proficiency and build upon their skills as future global leaders. From 2019 to 2020, they worked as a Documentation Specialist for Augmedix, a company working to revolutionize healthcare and reduce the strain of medical documentation on providers. In 2020, they worked as a Research Associate II for Bayside Biosciences Inc., where they worked on in vitro and in vivo pharmacological research and performed various molecular and cell biology techniques. In 2021, they worked as a Research Associate II for Applied Molecular Transport, where they developed and performed PK/PD assays for multiple animal models. Lastly, in 2022 they worked as a Research Associate II for Ambys Medicines, where they systemized batch records to document the Adenoviral urokinase-type plasminogen activator (Ad:uPA) preparation and primary human hepatocyte (PHH) preparation for transplantation. Currently, they are working as a Senior Research Associate for Septerna.

Kenny Nguyen attended the University of California, Berkeley from 2014 to 2018, earning a Bachelor of Science in Toxicology, a Bachelor of Arts in Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology, and a Bachelor of Arts in Human Integrative Biology. In addition, they obtained certifications in Adult, Child and Baby First Aid/CPR/AED from the American Red Cross in September of 2020 and Human Subjects Protection Training from the CITI Program, a Division of BRANY, in March of 2019.
