Clive Rodmell has extensive work experience in the field of product strategy and engineering for radio communication equipment. Clive started their career in 1985 as a Software & Hardware Engineer at Marconi Instruments in St Albans. Clive then moved on to Marconi Instruments in Stevenage in 1990, where they served as a Software Team Leader and later as a System Design Engineer. During this time, they were responsible for developing embedded software for various radio test sets and led teams for system design and recruitment. In 1998, Clive joined Aeroflex (now Viavi) as a Principal Product Definition Engineer, where they played a significant role in defining requirements for radio test sets for the TETRA global digital PMR standard. Clive also participated in standardization bodies and contributed to the market dominance of the IFR/Aeroflex test equipment. In 2005, they joined Sepura as a Product Definition Engineer, focusing on software requirements and functional specifications for Professional Mobile Radio (PMR) equipment operating on various standards. Clive also represented Sepura on TETRA interoperability working groups and managed requirements for the German public safety digital radio project. Recently, in June 2022, Clive took on the role of Senior Specialist, Product Strategy at Sepura.
Clive Rodmell attended the University of Greenwich from 1982 to 1985, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree with First Class honors in Electrical and Electronic Engineering.
