Karthik Murugesan

Karthik Murugesan has more than 20 years of work experience in various technology roles. Karthik is currently serving as the Chief Technology Officer at Sequoia Consulting Group since April 2021. In this role, they are responsible for building an AI-enabled people platform for people-focused companies.

Prior to their current position, Karthik worked at Huawei Technologies India, where they held multiple roles. From February 2020 to April 2021, they served as an AI/ML Engineering Expert and Head of Technology at the Search & Big Data Platform Group. From May 2016 to April 2021, they were the Chief Architect and Head of Technology & Products at the Big Data Platform Group.

Before joining Huawei, Karthik worked at Samsung Electronics as an Assistant Manager from August 2007 to August 2008. Karthik was involved in key mobile Linux standardization groups during this time.

Karthik'scareer at Huawei started in 2001, where they held various roles. From June 2005 to July 2007, they served as a Senior Technical Leader and was responsible for providing technical solutions and guidance for the complete Device Management Solution. From January 2001 to June 2005, they worked as a Senior/Software Engineer and was responsible for providing technical solutions and guiding the team for the Management UI for the SIP Application server.

Karthik started their career at Tata Consultancy Services as an Associate Software Engineer from May 2000 to January 2001.

From 1996 to 2000, Karthik Murugesan attended the College of Engineering, Guindy, where they pursued a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
