Konrad Hammel, P.Eng.

Konrad Hammel, P.Eng. has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Konrad is currently working at Sera4 as the Director of Hardware Engineering, a position they have held since October 2022. Prior to this, they served as a Senior Embedded Software Engineer at the same company from April 2018 to October 2022.

Before joining Sera4, Konrad worked at Ford Motor Company as a Supervisor of WLAN SW - Product Development from March 2017 to April 2018. Prior to that, they were employed at BlackBerry, where they held various roles, including Manager of WLAN Software from October 2015 to March 2017, Senior Systems Software Developer from June 2015 to October 2015, and Team Lead of WLAN Radio Development from April 2013 to June 2015. Additionally, they worked as a WLAN Software Developer at BlackBerry from April 2011 to April 2013.

Konrad's earlier work experience includes positions at Sangoma Technologies and PriLink. At Sangoma Technologies, they worked as a Software Engineer from March 2010 to April 2011, where they led a project to develop a next-gen SS7 library. Konrad also served as the Technical Support Lead at Sangoma Technologies from August 2007 to March 2010, managing a growing technical support team and ensuring high-quality support for customers.

Prior to Sangoma Technologies, Konrad worked at PriLink as a Development Engineer from November 2006 to July 2007. In this role, they designed and coded a SIP call monitoring application and designed a PCB layout for T1/E1 to PC/104.

Through their various roles, Konrad Hammel, P.Eng. has gained extensive experience in hardware engineering, embedded software development, project management, and technical support.

Konrad Hammel, P.Eng., obtained their Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Ryerson University. Konrad attended Ryerson University from 2001 to 2006. In October 2014, Konrad Hammel obtained their Professional Engineer certification from PEO - Professional Engineers Ontario.
