Gregory Ellis has a wealth of work experience, beginning in 2011 when they worked as a Journeyman for SANTIAM STEEL, INC. In 2014, they took on a role as a Course Development Student Worker for Oregon State University Ecampus. In 2016, they were an Environmental Technician Intern for ATI Specialty Materials. In 2018, they worked as a Civil Engineering EIT for The Dyer Partnership. In 2019, they were a Remodel Carpenter. From 2020 to 2022, they were a Process & Product Development Engineer for Deschutes Labs, and they currently work as an R&D Engineer and Engineering Technician for Serán BioScience.

Gregory Ellis began their education in 2011, attending Linn-Benton Community College and studying Kinesiology and Exercise Science until 2013. Gregory then returned to Linn-Benton Community College from 2013-2014, studying Chemical Engineering. In 2014, Gregory Ellis transferred to Oregon State University, where they earned a degree in Chemical Engineering in 2018. In addition to their degree, Gregory Ellis has obtained certifications in Engineering and Land Surveying from the Oregon State Board of Examiners for Engineering & Land Surveying in April 2019, RCRA from the Oregon DEQ in August 2016, and Northwest Opacity from NOC in September 2017.
