Charles Denny, Jr. MHA has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and industries. Charles has most recently served as the Director of Finance & Operations at the Southeast Rural Community Assistance Project, Inc. Prior to that, they worked as an Accounting Manager at New Horizons Healthcare, where they had responsibilities related to treasury management, audits, insurances, payroll, and overall financial management. Charles also held positions at Carilion Clinic, including Foundation Campaign Officer and General Staff Accountant. Additionally, they worked at Atlas Logistics Retail Services, LLC as a Labor, Accounting, & I T Systems Analyst, where they were involved in implementing new systems and labor productivity measures.
Charles Denny, Jr. MHA began their education at Northside High, where they pursued a degree in Advanced Studies with a focus on General Studies. Charles attended this high school from 1987 to 1990. Following this, they enrolled at Virginia Tech - Pamplin College of Business and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business, majoring in Accounting. This degree was completed from 1990 to 1993.
Later in their career, Charles pursued further education in the healthcare field. Charles attended Radford University from 2014 to 2016, where they earned a Master of Healthcare Administration (MHA) degree. Their field of study during this period was Health/Health Care Administration/Management.
In addition to their formal education, Charles Denny, Jr. MHA has obtained various certifications to enhance their skills and knowledge. These certifications include a Community Health Promoter certificate, obtained in May 2016 and sponsored by Carilion Clinic. Charles also completed several online courses, including "Developing Innovative Ideas for New Companies: The First Step in Entrepreneurship," "Markets with Frictions," and "The Kennedy Half Century." These courses were taken through Coursera and were completed in February 2014, January 2014, and December 2013, respectively. Furthermore, Charles obtained the "APICS-The Educational Society for Resource Management (Roanoke Regional Chapter) - Strategic Management of Resources Certificate" from APICS in December 2003.
