Julian Alfonso Ponce has a diverse work experience spanning several years. Julian Alfonso started their career at Trend Micro as a Threat Response Engineer, where they examined malicious files and created corresponding patterns to detect their signatures. Julian Alfonso then moved to Signal Data Corporation as a Software Engineer, where they developed C#.Net applications to gather live data from US-based retail companies.

After that, Julian worked at inDinero as a Senior Software Engineer, spearheading a team and providing accounting and back-office solutions to companies like Slack, Stripe, and Pinterest. Julian Alfonso then joined 90 Seconds as a Senior Software Engineer, contributing to the design and architecture of the cloud video production platform.

Julian continued their career at Viki, Inc. as a Senior Full Stack Engineer, helping to provide high-quality Asian content through their video-on-demand platform. Julian Alfonso then relocated to Sydney, Australia, and joined GlamCorner as a Software Engineer, building backend services using TypeScript/NodeJS and Ruby for their e-commerce platform.

Afterward, they pursued further studies and obtained a Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification from the same university in 2012-2013.

Currently, Julian is pursuing a Master of Information Technology degree at the University of New South Wales (UNSW), specializing in the field of Computer Science. Julian Alfonso started their master's program in 2020 and is expected to complete it in 2022.
