Manoj Ekanayake

Manoj Ekanayake has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Manoj started their career in 2003 as a Temporary Lecturer at Wayamba University of Sri Lanka. After that, they worked as an Assistant Miller at Serendib Flour Mills (Pvt) Ltd from 2003 to 2004. Manoj then joined Al Ghurair Foods LLC as an Assistant Miller in 2004, and later became a Miller from 2005 to 2006. In 2006, they returned to Serendib Flour Mills (Pvt) Ltd as a Shift Miller, and later advanced to the position of Senior Miller in 2011. As a Senior Miller, they were responsible for ensuring production met quality and safety standards, improving production processes and reducing costs. In 2019, they were promoted to the role of Chief Miller (Head of Production) at Serendib Flour Mills (Pvt) Ltd, where they continue to oversee and enhance milling operations.

Manoj Ekanayake completed their Bachelor of Science (Honors) in Engineering with a specialization in Production Engineering from the University of Peradeniya from 1998 to 2002. In 2003 to 2004, they pursued a Diploma in Wheat Flour Milling Technology from the International School of Milling Technology, CFTRI, focusing on Wheat Flour Milling & Baking Technology. Manoj then undertook a Mechanical and Electrical Maintenance Course at Buhler AG, Uzwil, Switzerland in 2007. In 2014, Manoj participated in a Technical Exchange Program at the Canadian International Grain Institution in Canada. Following that, they enrolled in a Technical Exchange Program at Novozymes Institution Bangalore, India in 2016, and later in Novozymes Institution Istanbul, Turkey in 2019, both without specified end years.
