Stewart is a Partner at Serent Capital. He leads Serent's investment efforts in software companies within the real estate/housing/construction, transportation/logistics, govtech, and entertainment sectors.
Since joining Serent in 2013, Stewart has led a number of investments in his core markets and worked closely with executive teams to execute key growth initiatives including strategy development, scaling go-to-market, pricing, payments, and M&A.
Prior to Serent, Stewart was a Vice President at the Seabury Group, a boutique investment bank and management consulting firm, and part of the leadership team that helped grow Seabury to over 60 employees within 5 years. His advisory work included projects on strategy, business planning, and operational improvement for clients in over 10 countries. In addition, he spent multiple years in the Private Equity practice, advising leading private equity firms on buyout investments. Prior to Seabury, Stewart worked as a consultant at Bain & Company in Chicago.
Stewart received a joint degree JD-MBA from Stanford University's Law School and Graduate School of Business, where he was an Arjay Miller, a Siebel Scholar, and the Henry Ford II Scholar (graduating first in his class). Stewart also holds a BA, magna cum laude, in Economics and Mathematics from Northwestern University.
