Mario Cambardella has had a diverse range of work experience. Mario is the Founder and CEO of ServeScape, a Techstars company that operates as Atlanta's largest online landscape design and plant nursery. ServeScape connects growers with homeowners and landscape professionals, providing access to a variety of plants. Prior to founding ServeScape, Mario worked as the Vice President of B Development, Inc from January 2020 to August 2021. Mario also served as the Urban Agriculture Director for the City of Atlanta from December 2015 to March 2020, where they played a part in sustainability initiatives. Mario was also involved in founding Urban Agriculture Inc., where they served as the CEO from October 2011 to December 2015. Additionally, they gained experience as a Graduate Student and Assistant at the University of Georgia from August 2009 to January 2013, and as a Project Manager at ValleyCrest Companies from September 2006 to August 2009.
Mario Cambardella has a strong education background in landscape architecture. Mario obtained their Bachelor of Landscape Architecture degree from The University of Georgia in 2006. Following this, they pursued further education and earned a Master of Environmental Planning and Design (MEPD) degree from The University of Georgia between 2009 and 2011. Mario then continued their academic journey and completed a Master of Landscape Architecture degree at The University of Georgia from 2011 to 2013.
In terms of certifications, Mario obtained the Professional Landscape Architect certification from the Council of Landscape Architectural Registration Boards (CLARB) in October 2012. Furthermore, they obtained the Level II: Erosion & Sediment Control Plan Design Professional certification from the Georgia Soil and Water Conservation Commission in December 2014.
