Michael Alguire

Michael Alguire has over 17 years of experience in various roles related to information security and risk management. Michael currently holds the position of Vice President, Information Services Risk Management at Servus Credit Union since May 2023. Prior to that, they served as the Director of Cybersecurity at ATCO Group from November 2018 to May 2023. From July 2016 to November 2018, they worked for the Government of Alberta as the Director of Cyber Threat Intelligence, Governance, and IT Security Risk. Before that, they held the position of Manager of Cyber Security Governance at ATCO Group from March 2014 to July 2016.

In addition, they have experience working at Enbridge Pipelines from 2006 to 2014, where they served as the Lead for Information Security Governance and Compliance from September 2012 to February 2014, Security Architect from February 2009 to October 2012, and Senior IT Auditor from August 2006 to November 2009.

Michael Alguire attended the University of Alberta from 1993 to 1997. Michael did not obtain a degree or specify a field of study during that time. In 2007, they obtained the CISA certification (Certified Information Systems Auditor) from ISACA.
