Ted Titcomb has a diverse work experience spanning several decades. Ted began their career in the US Navy, where they served for almost seven years, progressing from Ensign to Commander and holding various roles including Communications Officer, Navigator, and Electronic Material Officer.
After leaving the Navy, Ted worked at PRC Inc as a Program/Project Manager and Business Development Manager, focusing on DoD marketing and new business development. Ted developed strategic and annual business plans and identified competitive new business opportunities.
Ted then joined Scope Inc as the Director of Business Development, responsible for all new business development and marketing efforts at the privately held engineering design and manufacturing firm specializing in SIGINT applications for the intelligence community and DoD.
Ted continued their career at Bell Atlantic (later Verizon) in three different functional departments, serving as a Sr. Program Manager in Marketing, Sales, and Operations. Ted exceeded individual and programmatic business goals each year and made a positive impact on the success of the business.
Following their time at Bell Atlantic, Ted worked at NCI Inc as the Vice President of Capture Management, leading a team of 16 new business capture managers and managing the firm's proposal management and development group.
Ted then joined Verizon Business as a Director of Program Management, responsible for cost, schedule, and technical performance on classified government programs. Ted also supported new business development, capture, and proposal efforts.
Ted later served as the Enterprise Manager for Intelligence Programs at HARRIS IT SERVICES (HITS), where they were responsible for the oversight and management of various contracts/subcontracts supporting customers within the intelligence community, as well as new business pursuits and associated capture and proposal activities.
Before their current position, Ted worked as an independent Capture and Proposal consultant, serving as a Principal Consultant and actively engaged in capture management activities and the development of winning proposal solutions for their clients. Ted held non-exclusive consulting agreements with Shipley Associates and the Lohfeld Consulting Group.
Currently, Ted Titcomb holds the position of Senior Director of Business Development for Space Initiatives at SES Space & Defense, a role they started in 2022. Prior to this, they also held the position of Senior Director of Business Development at SES Government Solutions, where they provided customized satellite communications solutions to the US Government.
Overall, Ted has a strong background in business development, capture management, and proposal development, with extensive experience in both the government and private sector.
Ted Titcomb obtained a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Business Admin & Management from Webster University between 1978 and 1980. Prior to that, they acquired a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Business Administration from Charleston Southern University from 1968 to 1973. In addition to their formal education, Ted Titcomb obtained certifications such as ITIL in August 2008 and PMP (Project Management Professional) from the institution PMI in July 2008.
