Joseph Scardino

Joseph Scardino has a diverse work experience in the environmental field. Joseph started their career as a Laboratory Assistant at the New Jersey Meadowlands Commission where they gained experience in field work and data sampling. Joseph then pursued an internship at DuPont as a Laboratory Assistant, specializing in pesticide testing on major crops. Joseph then became a Teaching Lab Assistant at the Biological Sciences Department at the University of Delaware.

In 2011, they worked as a Surveyor at Edgeboro International, Inc. before transitioning to the role of Assistant Project Manager at The VERTEX Companies, LLC. Here, they conducted subsurface investigations, remedial oversight, and specialized in claims associated with petroleum-related contamination.

Joseph then worked at Betts Environmental Services Corporation as an Environmental Scientist, conducting subsurface investigations, collecting and analyzing samples, and assisting in various environmental reports. Joseph also drafted project proposals and invoices.

Currently, Joseph Scardino is a Project Manager at SESI Consulting Engineers, where they focus on conducting environmental engineering and LSRP services. Joseph supervises and trains entry-level environmental field scientists and evaluates and delineates extents of environmental impacts. Joseph also conducts various investigations and sampling related to soil, groundwater, air, soil vapor, and VI.

Joseph Scardino completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science at the University of Delaware between 2006 and 2011. In 2007, they also pursued a Spanish Minor at the Universidad de Granada, focusing on the Spanish Language. Furthermore, between 2016 and 2019, Joseph Scardino pursued a Master of Science in Environmental Science from the New Jersey Institute of Technology, specializing in the Department of Chemistry & Environmental Science.
