Mariam Shaishmelashvili serves as the Head of the Training Research Centre and Head of Administration at the Georgian Competition and Consumer Agency since August 2022, while also holding the position of Deputy Head of the Consumer Rights Protection Department. Simultaneously, Mariam is an invited lecturer at Georgian National University SEU. Previous roles include a specialist in the Legal Department at the Administration of the Government of Georgia and Communications Manager at the Business Ombudsman of Georgia. From November 2019 to July 2021, Mariam worked in various capacities within the Administration of the Government of Georgia. Prior to that, Mariam headed the Personal Data Protection Supervision Unit at the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia from August 2014 to November 2019. Educational qualifications encompass a PhD candidacy in Administrative Law at Tbilisi State University, a Bachelor's degree in Law, a Master's degree in Business Law from Ilia State University, and additional studies in Human Rights and EU Integration from Lund University and the Estonian School of Diplomacy.
