Francis Christian Chan

Francis Christian Chan is an experienced professional with a diverse background in program management, community affairs, and mental health. Currently serving at the SF Office of Economic & Workforce Development since December 2021, Francis previously held the position of Senior Program Manager in the same office from January 2013 to June 2021. Francis also worked as the Director of Community Affairs at the San Francisco District Attorney's Office from June 2021 to December 2021. As a business owner of Cycers Consultant since June 2007, Francis has applied expertise gained from previous roles, including Mental Health Clinician at the San Francisco Department of Public Health and Executive Director of the California Dictionary Project. Francis's educational credentials include a Doctorate in Asian Philosophies and Cultures from the California Institute of Integral Studies, a Master's in Chinese Language from San Francisco State University, and a Certificate in Addiction Treatment from City College of San Francisco.
