John Ciliege

John Ciliege has a strong background in the testing and certification industry. John worked as Vice President, Connectivity & Hardlines at SGS, overseeing the daily operations, sales, and marketing of Electrical/Electronics and Hardlines testing and certification business units. John also served as Sr. Director for Connectivity and Global Head of Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratories (NRTL), where they were responsible for defining and executing the global strategy for the OSHA accredited NRTL product certification program.

Prior to their time at SGS, John was the General Manager at Exova Group plc, where they provided overall leadership and delivered strong financial performance in the Houston Oil and Gas sector and the Pittsburgh Corrosion Mitigation and Assessment team.

Before that, they worked at Intertek Testing Services, where they held various positions including Director of Operations and Operations Manager. John oversaw the operations of multiple locations, managed a cross-disciplinary team, and had national-level P&L accountability.

John started their career as a Project Engineer at National Biological Corp. (N.B.C.) in Twinsburg, Ohio.

Overall, John Ciliege has demonstrated expertise in operations management, sales and marketing, and strategic planning in the testing and certification industry.

John Ciliege has a Bachelor of Science and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Ohio Northern University, which they completed from 1992 to 1997. John then pursued an MBA in Business Management from Kennesaw State University - Michael J. Coles College of Business, which they completed from 2001 to 2003. In 2022, they also attended INSEAD for a short course in Leading Organizations in Disruptive Times.
